Athens RS Traffic Control System
At Athens Railway Station, Sigma Signal extended the existing SIL4-certified traffic control system to include the highly trafficked single-track section between Athens and Agioi Anargyroi stations. This strategic upgrade was designed to enhance operational coverage and improve the safety and efficiency of train movements along one of the busiest segments of the railway network. By integrating this high-circulation line into the existing control infrastructure, Sigma Signal provided a vital operational tool that supports the safe management and optimized exploitation of the network, reinforcing the reliability of rail transport in the greater Athens area.
